1998 In the second semester lecture "Datenstrukturen" (SS98), we had to implement a database program. Of course, calling it "Database" would have been extremely uncool (lame), so we settled on the name

which was the most bureaucratic name we could think of.

It amounted to somewhat over 3.5KLOC, many many nights without sleep, lots and lots of coffee (Jacobs "Meisterröstung" - "Der Kräftige, der Dich wieder aufbaut"; we even tried to eat it with spoons without boiling it first :-) and extremely loud music (mostly Metallica - this broke my old hifi equipment. Fortunately, my neighbors below tended to listen to loud music themselves). It was very common to work until the break of day...
