This is how Lipton (Broken (Love)) came into being. Having crushed a recyclable bottle through manual labor, its image was greyscaled and traced manually in red. Then, after RGB separation, the red channel was thresholded, yielding a black-and-white image which, grace to the lack of a video beamer, was manually copied onto a styrofoam block. Note the faint traces of color markings on the one-but-last image.
